Bodice (tunic) of a young child's outfit made of semi-sheer off-white cotton. Back fastening with mother-of-pearl buttons. Scalloped ruffle with handmachine embroidery around neck, gathered into bias band collar. Center front of bodice has a tuck pressed into a box pleat, with insertion of handmachine-embroidered strips on either side; seven tucks on either side of this, pressed toward center. Likewise, six tucks on either side of back, pressed toward center. Unshaped skirt pleated to bodice, with seam covered with a narrow bias band. Long sleeves, gathered by hand above hem to create ruffles.
