Infant dress, entirely hand stitched, made from a pieced rectangle of printed cotton. Self-frill whipped onto the hem, selvages at the sides. Very high waist formed by a tubular casing formed by a tuck; casing around neckline with applied flat self-frill all around. Shoulder straps with short tubular sleeves set into the “hollowed out” armscye; casing near sleeve hem forms frill. Drawstrings are plain weave cotton or linen ties.
