Dress of white cotton percale, lined in white linen, both layers opening separately in front. Bodice front is a separate piece gathered to skirt at very high waist, and gathers on very narrow drawstrings at neckline and waist seam. Wide sleeves set into deep armscye; both layers are also separate at sleeve opening. Trained skirt is pleated to very center back of waistline. Sleeves and bottom of skirt are embroidered with abstracted floral motifs, vines, and leaves, with edge of fabric finished in pointed scallops. Hand sewn.
