Wide neckline, short generously frilled sleeves edged with coarse machine lace, set into piped armscye; back closure with no evidence of hooks or buttons; waistband and sleeve hems are not made as casings for a ribbon, but probably the sleeves were each tied up with a ribbon or bracelet.
