Woman's morning or evening dress of white cotton muslin woven with gauze and gimp stripes, partially lined in the bodice with white linen. Lining fastens in front with three white glass buttons; front bodice (gathered on drawstring along neckline) then fastens over it with single dorset button on right shoulder. Back neckline has slight notch at center where drawstrings from either side tie. Back of skirt and back of bodice are both gathered, and then gathered further on heavy internal drawstring. Self-fabric half-belts on either side of back come to tie at front of waistline. Full sleeves set into rather deep armscyes, gathered at cuff on outside of arm, finished with a narrow lace. Hand sewn.
