Brooch of Bohemian garnets. Oval shaped, rose-cut garnets large and small creating the edge. Tiny pieces of metal hold stones in. There is a center flower; the petals formed by faceted pear-cut garnets. Two faceted oval garnets are on each side of the center flower. Center stones open in the back are all bezel set. Tube hinge, c clasp and pin extends beyond the pin. Setting may be vermeil. Brownish-red garnets are likely Almondine garnets. They are faceted on the back to allow for light to pass.
