Thought to be a glue pot made of copper. It is finely made with a brass collar, handles and handle brackets. It is slightly unusual in that the inside of the large pot is tinned which is often found in cookware as the copper can react to acidic foods like tomatoes. However both the inside and outside of the smaller pot/insert is not tinned. Most glue pots are made of cast iron but there are examples of copper glue pots in 19th century coppersmithing books.
