Land surveyor's field notebook, 1842-1847. This is believed to be a notebook of John P. Slayer, surveyor, he was shown as living in Newark on the west side of Vienna Street on the Gillette map of Wayne County - 1858. This notebook shows plats and descriptions of land in Vienna, now Phelps, Shortsville, Manchester, Palmyra, Arcadia, etc. Several pages have been removed.
