Notebook of geometry and equations of Alexander Fraser, 1825. The back of the notebook has articles clipped from the newspaper dating from about 1854 to the early 1860's. Many are letters to the editor by Fraser and most revolve around the Presbyterian Church who he felt wronged by.

Inscription: This is a premium awarded to Alexander Fraser by the commissioners of schools for this Town of Caledonia for his excelling in Reading and Penmanship at an exhibition of the schools of our Town held on the last day of February Anno [?] Domini 1825 in Caledonia and where the School of No.12 District of the Town of York was united and attended. Altho' the gift is small in [?] - let it be remembered that Virtutis Gloria Merces. [?] Scripsit H. Robertson (Virtutis Gloria Merces - Glory is the reward of valour, is the motto of Clan Robertson) Also inscribed: Alexander Fraser Property / York, Jan 1st, 1829
