Small 16-page Sunday School tract.

Sword and scabbard, model 1860, was the primary sword used by the Federal Calvary during the Civil War, as well as many infantry and staff officers. Sword is made of steel and brass. Scabbard is made of iron. Scabbard has two rings so it could be attached to a belt or saddle.

Sword buckle/belt plate of a Union Civil War officer, model 1851. Features and eagle with a shield on its chest and holding a laurel leaf in one hand and arrows in the other. Surrounded by laurel leaves, stars, and rays of sunshine, the eagles carries a banner "E. Pluribus Unum".

One hardwood 'piccolo clarinet' marked "M Martin France" on reed clamp with silver keys. This is an Eb Martin clarinet, dating from the 1870's. It can be taken apart in to four sections to be stored in a case.

A collice is a "edge iron" that consists of a handle and shaped piece of iron that serves to glaze and form leather.

Colt Army Model 1860 is a cap & ball .44-caliber single-action revolver used during the American Civil War made by Colt's Manufacturing Company. It was used as a side arm by cavalry, infantry, artillery troops, and naval forces.

Compote. Ribbed and scalloped bowl in "Bellflower pattern" on hexagonal stem over ribbed Bellflower dome-shaped base.

One clear glass compote in the Acron pattern (ribbed and very similar to Bellflower), with no lid. This is a rare pattern, although this is a more common form when the pattern is found. It has a low pedestal base with a rayed pattern on the underside. The bowl has the pattern on the outside. The rim is formed to use a lid.

A dark green covered egg cup with a finial on the lid. The cup is footed and supported by a knob-turned stem.

One blue and white woven coverlet commissioned by Hannah Bissell Backus (1779-1868) of Bethany, New York. Corner square reads "H. Backus / Bethany. Genesee. County N. Y. 1837". Coverlet has a border made of diamond shapes and features motifs of weeping willows, eagles, and floral designs. The museum also has a daguerreotype of Hannah Backus in its collection (2026.06.002).

This beautiful coverlet in indigo and white includes flower elements, weeping willow trees, eagle motifs, and geometric patterns. One side has patterns in blue on a white ground while the other side is reversed, white patterns on a blue ground. Text woven into the coverlet says "The Property of Samuel Salsbury Orleans County N.Y. 1840". This was most likely Samuel P. Salsbury (1813-1887), farmer and minister who lived in Murray, Orleans County, New York.
