Enjoy Breakfast with St. Nick including a buffet meal and photo opportunities.
Bring your family for a festive exploration of our historic homes that are warmed by fires and alive with holiday lights, candles, and traditional decorations.

Genesee Country Nature Center

Even in winter, the Genesee Country Nature Center is a fantastic place to explore the flora and fauna of the Genesee Valley Region. Enjoy crafting as a family, learn from a resident naturalist, meet animals up close and personal, and so much more.

John L. Wehle Gallery

Home to an extensive collection of 19th-century clothing and sporting and wildlife art, the John L. Wehle Gallery includes three rotating exhibits and several smaller displays. Exhibits include:

  • An Extraordinary Attraction: 50 Years of History, Art, and Nature (NEW in 2026)
  • Color Me Calico: A Taste for Prints and Parties
  • Perceived Realities: Wildlife, Land, & Myth

Breakfast with St. Nick

Enjoy Breakfast with St. Nick

  • Celebrate the holiday season alongside family and friends with a tasty breakfast in the Museum’s holiday-decorated Meeting Center!
  • Tickets for Breakfast with St. Nick are sold separately from Holiday Open House tickets.

  • D.M. Munger Confectionery
    • Open Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    • Located on the Square in the Historic Village
    • Stop in for Village-made cookies, candy, hand pies, and more!
  • Hosmer Taproom
    • Open Sunday from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
    • Located in Hosmer’s Inn
    • Stop in for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and hand pies available for purchase.

Shopping at the Flint Hill Store

Find the perfect something for everyone on your holiday shopping list! Visitors to our Holiday Open House will have the opportunity to shop in the Flint Hill Store and explore handcrafted goods made right here in the Historic Village, artisanal wares, treats and goodies, GCV&M apparel, and so much more.
 
New in 2026, purchase cans of GCV&M’s Fat Ox Ale or Stocking Hill Ale (made by Rohrbach’s Brewing) right from the Store or pick up a growler at the Freight House Pub and we’ll hold it for you. Take some along to your next holiday party!

FAQs

What is the refund/transfer policy?

Tickets are strictly non-transferrable between days and times. Tickets will be refunded up to seven (7) days prior to the date on your ticket. Those issued a refund will need to re-purchase through the online shop if they wish to purchase a ticket for a different date or time.

Can I use a courtesy pass for Holiday Open House?

Yes, you can use courtesy passes to gain admittance to Holiday Open House ONLY. Courtesy passes are NOT valid for Breakfast with St. Nick. 

Do I have to purchase tickets separately for Holiday Open House and Breakfast with St. Nick?

Yes – tickets for Holiday Open House and Breakfast with St. Nick (also on Sunday, Dec. 21), must be purchased separately. 

I'm a Member, do I have to pay for this event?

Thank you for supporting GCV&M as a Member! Yes, Members must purchase a ticket for this event. In order to get the Member discount, login to your member account for the online store (click here). If you have not created a member account for the online store, do so using the same email address that is associated with your memberhsip.

Will these events be canceled due to weather conditions?

The Museum is open rain, snow, or shine! Please feel free to bring gear for the outdoor conditions. Museum events are only canceled by emergency order of Monroe County.

What are other policies for guests?

No outside food or drink is permitted; food and beverages will not be permitted in the Historic Village. Please leave pets at home; leashed service animals are welcome with proper identification. There is no smoking or vaping except in the front parking lot. Professional videography and flash photography is prohibited.
