Dyeing Yarn Workshop

Join us for an enchanting workshop where you will delve into the fascinating world of dyes and mordents. Experience the joy of transforming spun wool into a colorful masterpiece, and connect with a time when creativity and resourcefulness flourished. All participants must be age 16+; all participants under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a paid adult ticketholder.
Arrival & check-in:
- Parking is free and plentiful! Park in any of the main lots at the front of the Museum. The first two bays are available for handicapped parking.
- You will first check in through the Admissions Tunnel to receive your hang tag. An interpretation staff member will check you in by the purchaser’s name on the back side of Admissions, then guide the group back to the workshop site. We recommend also either printing out OR taking a screenshot of your ticket(s) or confirmation as backup.
- You will be walking from Admissions to the workshop site and back. Dress for the predicted weather conditions and wear sturdy footwear. Guest transport is available for those who are not able to walk long distances.
HOW TO DRESS:
- Dress for the predicted weather conditions & wear closed-toed shoes. You will also want to wear clothing/outerwear you don’t mind getting stained or dirty.
Other Information:
- Purchase of this ticket includes admission to the Museum for the day (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.). Feel free to explore the Nature Center, Art Gallery, and Historic Village at your own pace after the workshop.
- Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited past the front parking lots. You will need to exit to your vehicle to smoke or vape.
- Videography, professional photography, and drone usage are strictly prohibited.
- We allow leashed, certified service animals with proper identification. We do not allow pets.
- Tickets for this event were refundable only up to 7 days prior to the workshop date. All GCV&M tickets are strictly non-transferable by date, entry time, or program. No exceptions will be made.
