Large metal buttonhook. Metal handle is cast from a dark metal in a rococo-revival style. Top of handle features an oval cartouche topped by and resting in molded scrollwork. Beneath cartouche the handle is a narrow taper, terminating in more scrollwork. Center of cartouche and tapering handle feature panels of Champlevé - etched metal filled in with red and black enamel. Steel hook shaft sustains a bit of dicoloration from tarnish.
