Entirely hand stitched fine white cotton cap. Flat horseshoe crown joined to brim with Ayreshire insertion; brim made of two sections, one ruched and the front on a panel of eyelet. Fine frill all around, edged with a narrow fold of net. Flat linen tape drawstring in back. Little bar tacks on corners to receive ribbon ties. “Inked “M. Brookes 1835”
