Cape

Clothing/Dress/Costume

Lady's black wool cape. Cape extends to hip length or just above. No arm holes. Seam up CB, with darts at shoulder area to create a smooth line. Collar which can be turned down or stood up. Round without points. Collar upper and under collar, both breasts and across hem to CB are covered in black cotton soutache braiding. Machined topstitching in three rows trim edges of CF opening, collar, and continue across hem. CF closure of hooks and eyes (3) hidden by wool panel with pinked edge and disguised externally with two tibis of black wool. Black cotton sateen lining with interfacing inside or warmth. Entirely hand-stitched.
