Case, Cigar
Object/Artifact
Black papier mache cigar case with rounded ends, 3” x 5.5”. The sides and ends are thin black leather gussets, permitting the case to collapse when empty. The center area of the front surface is filled with a painting of a demurely very decollete lady in a blue dress. The reverse is black, filled with a sort of gilt marbelized design. Within the case is the inner case with one straight open end, made of heavy, glossy black paper with embossed scroll design. Its rounded end has a narrow pull strip.
