Clothing/Dress/Costume
Hooded cloak of brilliantine (cotton/mohair) twill in orange, green, black, and purple stripes with faint cross-bars, lined in brown cotton flannel; hood is lined in green silk taffeta. Body and hood are pleated to turn-down collar of brown silk velvet, bound with off-white silk ribbon. Fastens at front of neck with very large metal hook to eye on chain. There are arm slits in the side seams, each with a band of brilliantine bound in silk ribbon applied over it. Hood is drawn in on a green silk ribbon in a tuck around the edge, forming a self-fabric ruffle. Hand sewn.
