Dress
Clothing/Dress/Costume
2-piece day dress made of pale lavender cotton. Bodice (a) - pronounced pigeon breast or mono-bosom. Lined with light cotton fabric, with bones / stays at the center front, sides, and back. Hook and eye closure made of light cotton lining and lavender fabric. Lace tape inserts on bodice front and back, as well as on sleeves. Sleeves are 3/4 length with fullness throughout. Almost entirely machined, with some hand-finishing on the interior. Skirt (b) - flat in front and sides around the hips via the use of pleats that are sewn in place partly the way down. Past the hip, these pleats open to create volume and a slightly gathering or trained effect in the center back. The center back pleats are not sewn down, but rather hang loose from the waistband. Skirt is unlined, with a hem at the bottom. Turned under simply and machined down.
