Dress
Object/Artifact
a) Entirely hand stitched dress made of lapis-printed calico. Very large upper sleeves and long, narrow lower sleeves requiring much pushing up on the arm; self covered buttons at wrist. Somewhat high, round waist with Apron front with front opening bodice with both edges piped; wide shallow neckline; moderately full skirt with fairly smooth front. Pleated panels forming a chevron over the bodice. Tapes inside waist back to secure dress; no ties for sleeve puffs. Deep hem facing of white calico. b) Self-fabric belt.
