Dress
Object/Artifact
Dress, entirely hand stitched cotton, cylinder printed with red and black; surface printed blue and yellow (almost gone) with a pattern of spike flowers with red and blue spiky florets with black stems, stamens and outlines, blue (green) leaves. Inset waistband, piped armscyes, gigot sleeves to elbow (cut off for work probably) and gathered bodice, wide neckline. Bodice lined with plain weave white cotton, floating in back with button closure. Inked name label inside neck reads “S. Daman"
