Clothing/Dress/Costume
Entirely hand-stitched dress made of sheer white cotton. Bodice (a) - shirred at center back and center front waist. Straight waist. Wide shallow neckline; off shoulder. Piped neck and armscyes. Double row of ruching at top of short gathered bell sleeves which are finished with ruching. Lined with PW cotton like percale. Floating in back with center back closure; brass hooks and eyes. Boned; bones missing. Skirt (b) - mounted on waistband, refashioned from all gathers to smooth front. Long train. Five rows of self frills around hem; top row with self-frilled header.
