Hood

Object/Artifact

Entirely hand stitched quilted hood, brown silk (very fine soft rep) lined with tan “cambric” glazed cotton lining, thin brown batting. The brown PW ribbon ties are silk warp, cotton weft - a cheap and sturdy selection, about 1.5” wide. The cape is pieced. The join to the cap is covered with thin drill.
