Object/Artifact
Aquamarine historical / pictorial flask. Pint Size. Plain lip, broken pontil. McKearin GI-14. Obverse: George Washington, three quarter view in uniform facing left. "General Washington" in semi-circle above bust. Reverse: American Eagle, head turned to the right. Shield with 7 bars on breast, wings partly raised and right forshortened. Thunderbolt (5 arrows) in its right talons, large olive branch in the left. Sunrays above the eagle's head. Eagle stands on oval fram with inner band of 28 small pearls. "E Pluribus Unum" in semi-circle above sunrays. In oval frame, "T.W.D" Edges are vertically ribbed and with inscription "Adams and Jefferson July 4, A.D. 1776" Three small stars follow 1776. "Kensington Glassworks, Philadelphia"
