Fashion plate depicting a peasant woman from Naples. Her dress is dark purple with pink band trim and pleats down the skirt. Tied around her waist, a green apron with a pink border. Around her shoulders, a red jacket with slit sleeves that end at the elbows to reveal long, full sleeves. On her head, a wide-brimmed straw hat with a sheer white veil draped over the top and pulled to one side.
