Cap
Clothing/Dress/Costume
Small infant cap made of gossamer cotton. Eyelet embroidery; star-shaped crown. Vine border and motif with ferny leaves, eyelet berries and pepper-like shapes with various needle-run fillings worked on net. Tiny eyelet/leaflet spots fill the ground. Miniscule linen drawstring in back, front one lost within the casing; apparently no eyelets were worked for the strings. Ribbon tie loops at chin corners.
