Object/Artifact
Muslin cap made of thin white cotton, entirely hand stitched. Horseshoe crown defined by a double symmetrical flat frill; double frills around back and front, fuller at chin corner. Long self ties with rounded wide bottoms. Edges finished with double scallops; frills have “cheerios” along the edge; the crown and brim are filled with rows of French knots mingled with tiny leaf sprigs and a few eyelets.
