Object/Artifact

Cap made of very fine, semi-sheer lawn - looks like linen. Deep ruched band over head, horseshoe crown; bordered either side by wide band of Ayrshire insertion. Double tucked cambric frill all around front; frill detailed with cording about 1/8” from base. Separate triangular extensions at ears, with double frill; lawn ties. Simple scallop embroidery edge on frill and tie ends. Drawstring in CB bottom.
