Cape
Clothing/Dress/Costume
Lady's brown wool cape. The cape is below or waist length, and lined with brown silk taffeta, which is quilted to the interfacing or batting inside. Over the shoulder lays a second layer of cape, which gentle point at CB but has sharp, acute points at CF. The collar has batwing points across its length. Front wool panels of cape are pieced across both panels. Cotton velveteen machined tape in three lines across hem and up CF, double row on second layered pointed capelet, and one row trimming edge of collar. CF closure of hook and eye at neckline as well as button tibi closure near bust line. Entirely hand-stitched.
