Dress

Object/Artifact

Dress of silk taffeta striped in mahogany and white with a touch of blue, entirely hand stitched. Blue/red 1” silk fringe along edges of the outer, gathered layer of the bodice, front bodice boned, back hook/eye closure. Unlined skirt gauged onto bodice. Skirt and sleeves ends turned up this century (probably). Sleeves generously gathered at elbows.b) matching long capelet trimmed with same fringe. Comes to elbow at side, and below waist in front.
