Morning dress of white cotton muslin, unlined except for shoulder straps (which are lined in the same muslin), with somewhat low waistline for the period. Wide neckline, holding a drawstring of cotton cord; bodice fitted with two darts on either side and light gathering in the center. Back of waistline also has a drawstring of the same cotton cord. Skirt is slightly gathered at center front and more heavily gathered in back, and trimmed with twelve horizontal tucks above a deep hem. Long, straight sleeves. Hand sewn.
