Two-piece bustle day dress in brown slightly ribbed silk. Almost entiely machine-stitched. Bodice: Cuirass bodice of shaped panels. Small peplum with CB pointed segments. CF closure of hooks and eyes, hidden by panel of ruching. Long narrow sleeves that are lsightly bend. Simple white braid at sleeve cuff and neck collar stand. Lined in a brown cotton twill. Skirt: same silk fabric, lined with brown glazed cotton, plain-weave. CF of skirt silk is puffed up in section to create bustle. Side back (left) closure, missing hooks and eyes. Brown plain weave cotton wasitband. hen ehavily faced with a heavy wegith glazed black cotton. Hem is bound in brown cotton twill tape. Hem has layer of knife-pleated silk, with another layer of crenalted panels on top.
