Entirely hand-stitched girls dress made of white cross-barred dimity. Infant bodice (gathered into a shallow yoke) with full cotton lining; set-in waistband; full skirt with deep tuck above hem, removed. Wide neckline, short generously frilled sleeves edged with coarse machine lace, set into piped armscye; back closure with no evidence of hooks or buttons; waistband and sleeve hems are not made as casings for a ribbon, but probably the sleeves were each tied up with a ribbon or bracelet.
