Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper No. 115. - Vol. V. from New York, Saturday, February 13, 1858. Price 6 cents. Contains, among other stories, an extensive and illustrated report of a Calico Ball at the Academy of Music by Doesticks, P.B. Illustrations of: - Hat Room fight - Purchasing of kid skin gloves from African American glove seller on site at ball - Apollo statue dressed in calico fabric - Private Box viewing space - Doesticks' revenge on a staff member of the calico ball - Doesticks' partner, Waddley, dancing with a woman in calico - Waddley and Doesticks being served a supper of bones by staff at the party. - Very large illustration of ladies removing their calico gown to reveal their silk gowns underneath.
