Gown, Long
Object/Artifact
Infant’s white cotton percale long dress, entirely hand stitched. High waistline, inset waistband of lace insertion that serves as a casing for a 1/2” ribbon tie in back. Lace insertion is also used in 2 rows above the hem, and to form a “V” in the bodice, where the bodice is gathered a little. Short sleeves with two puffs, the outer one having a single eyelet worked in its center. Drawstring in the neck ties in back.
