Bustle made of cotton tapes, spring steel.a) Hoop has barrel shape; 10 hoops, 5 tapes. Waist stamped “No. 18.” Open in front. Silver colored stamped buckle with dated in relief: “Patented July 2d 1867” [or 87?]b) Bustle has flat, shelf-like form with 3 hoops, similar strapping and buckle stamped the same.
