Name stamping tool of the sort used to mark quilts and the like. Turned cherry knob handle on a white metal base having a slot to receive tiny cast letters like printers’ type. A screw inserted from the side keeps them pressed in place; the screw head is a scallop shell shape. The surface surrounding the slot has a cast relief design of an eagle with spread wings on top, and a spray of arrows below. The letters have been inserted upside down, and the periods placed before rather than after the text
