Mantle
Clothing/Dress/Costume
Entirely hand-stitched semi-circular mantle or cape made of rich chocolate-colored silk velvet. Shaped to shoulders and the same length all around; no collar. Line with hand-quilted (diagonal lines) chocolate-colored silk taffeta with a silk tab at the midpoint inside the front edges (speculated to be used to grab). Edges are finished with double silk piping around the neck. 3 hooks / eyes closures at the top, above the tabs, and in-between.
