"Child’s machine knit socks of now-ivory silk, ankle height. Deep ribbed cuffs, simple clocks, squared heels, no seam underfoot. Round toes. “B” worked into the top near the cuff on one side, and “44” on the other.5.5” foot, 6.5” high."
