Machine knit thin white lisle stockings, knee high, with mesh at the top and a lacy pattern on the bottom; mitred heel. I suspect these might have been the stockings worn with the graduation dress. Makes me wonder if the shoes ca 1855 were also attempted, given that the original dress dated to then. (2004.135)
