Cased ambrotype of two adult men, seated, James A. Hyde on right. They are clasping hands on the thigh of one gentleman, while the hand of the other gentleman is on his partner's shoulder. Friends, perhaps distant relatives, but the likeness is not similar to be brothers. 1/6th plate in size. Inside case is deep plum embossed velvet, in scrollwork design. Outside of gutta percha case is a scene of a buck and doe in a forest clearing. Scrollwork around edges. Case in perfect condition.
