Summer Sunset Concert Series
Spend an evening along the Great Meadow with great music and a great sunset. It’s a rare opportunity to enjoy the Museum grounds after-hours! Outdoor and deck seating is available or bring a chair or blanket and hang out on the Great Meadow. The Museum is picnic-friendly, and food and drink will be available in the Depot Restaurant and The Freight House Pub.
Enjoy live music from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; food and drink will be served until 8 p.m. The Museum closes at 9 p.m. These concerts are held rain or shine, and you are welcome to bring your own food for a picnic on the Meadow, but no alcohol please!

Summer Sunset Concerts are dog friendly!
Rock out with your furry friend on the Great Meadow! We’re excited to announce that our Summer Sunset Series Concerts are dog friendly this year! Bring your furry friend out for a night of fun on the Great Meadow at GCV&M. Please keep in mind a few Museum policies regarding dogs on our grounds:
- Clean up after your pup! (We suggest bringing doggie bags to help keep our grounds tidy.)
- Bring a bowl for water! It can get hot on the Great Meadow! Bring a water bottle and a bowl to have handy for your furry friend.
- Leashes, please! Dogs must remain leashed at all times.
- No dogs left in cars. If you plan to bring your dog to a Summer Sunset Series Concert, they must not be left in a vehicle for any amount of time.
- No furry friends in the Historic Village. While a Village walk may be tempting, we ask that furry friends remain on the Great Meadow side of the Toll House during Summer Sunset Series evenings.
- Will your pup have a good time? Keep in mind that your dog will be around other dogs, kids, and live music – if crowds and noise make them uncomfortable, they might be happier at home.
