We are no longer accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Teacher Advisory Board seeks to bring 10 teachers together throughout the year to ensure that the educational programs and offerings are meeting the needs of our teachers and schools. Our goals:
- Provide valuable feedback on existing resources and programming. Generate ideas and pilot new initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between GCV&M and districts by promoting and advocating for resources and programs
- Create a sense of community, collaboration, and learning, as well as foster leadership opportunities.
Commitment
- Members can serve for two-years.
- Attend 4 scheduled meetings a year. More than one absence may result in loss of future participation and benefits.
- Meeting #1 – In person, Saturday September 27, 2025
- Meeting #2 – virtual, Wednesday, January 14, 2026
- Meeting #3 – virtual, Wednesday, April 8, 2026
- Meeting #4 – in person, Saturday, May 30, 2026
- Engage in 10 hours (maximum) of small group emails over the course of each calendar year.
- Join a 1:1 check-in meeting mid-year (late February) with the Director of Education.
Requirements
- Attend at least 2 FREE teacher workshops or teacher socials. Provide feedback afterwards.
- Book a FREE self-guided historic village field trip or a guided nature center field trip (up to 50 students). Provide feedback.
- Book a FREE in-classroom “moveable” program for your classroom (up to 30 students). Provide feedback.

Selection Process & Apply
We are accepting applications until July 11, 2025. We will review submissions, and depending on interest, may ask to conduct brief Zoom interviews in July or early August. We will send responses to applicants in early August, no later than August 15.
