Electro-medical device originally part of a set made by the Bleadon-Dun Company. The Bleadon-Dun Company, based in Chicago, was a prominent marketer of electro-medical devices, especially popular in the 1910s-1920s, known for its "Violetta" violet ray machines that claimed to relieve pain and promote health, alongside other gadgets. They were considered the "world's largest exclusive manufacturers of portable, one-piece, high frequency generators" by the 1920s, selling various devices promising cures for numerous ailments until legal challenges debunked their medical claims.

Mold Blown Aquamarine Flask American eagle flask is called a “Double Eagle” as the same embossed eagle occurs on both sides of the flask. A large embossed American eagle that occurs in the oval facial panels on the front and back sides. The eagle’s head is turned to the left with its wings raised and spread. A ribbon extends from the eagle’s beak arching above the eagle. A distinct “U” character can be seen in the ribbon. Above the ribbon are two rows of arching four-pointed stars, eight stars above and six stars below. The breast shield has seven vertical bars. There are three arrows or thunderbolts in the right talon and an olive branch in the left talon. Below the talons is a horizontal oval outlined frame containing an eight-pointed star. Surrounding the eagle, stars, and oval, in a horseshoe configuration, is corrugated ribbing on the flask edges with a vertical medial rib. The flask has a plain lip and a broken pontil. Eagle - Flag and "For Our Country" Historical Flask. Aquamarine, sheared mouth - pontil scar, pint size. Designs on oval panels, American Eagle: head, shoulders and wings only; resting on a large shield. Eagle's head turned to left; wings partly raised and dropping parallel with each side of the shield. Shield with 7 wide bertical bard and very narrow horizontal bars above. Beneath shield crossed olive and palm branches. McKearin GIX-25 Obverse: Inverted heart-shaped frame formed my medial and inferior scrolls, raised dot above medial scrolls and in the space below the letter "C" smaller raised dot in space above frame. Reverse: Same as obverse, but no letter in the lower space.

In the space above frame where outer and edge ribs terminate there is a similar large six-pointed star. Broken pontil on bottom. Edges are have a heavy vertical medial rib.

Brass fluid lamp - "Miles Patent" applied to the base of the lamp. Round drip pan base; tapered bowl on pedestal. John Miles received a British patent for this “unspillable” lamp in 1787. A bit of a rarity, our lamp dates to the very early 19th century.

Object 2023.28.037 is made from the same mold as this bottle but was an "end of day" work made into a whimsical bowl.
