A form book belonging to John C. Miller Jr., student at Eastman Business College. Contents include notes on penmanship and journaling as well as autographs from classmates as part of their penmanship practice. 1863. A set of stencils, 2 loose drawings, and a loose poem were found in the book.

The largest gear is attached to the crank. The gear closest to the base has three curved metal spikes attached to its rod. The base is wooden and rectangular with a hole opposite the gears. A knotted string is looped through the hole. There is an inscription on top of the platform reading, "D.T MEAD."

The base of the peeler is "S" shaped. Inscription on the base reads, "S", on the frame, under the rod reads, "PATENTED JUNE 9 85." Called "The Little Star".

The handle is attached with three bolts that make a triangular formation. The front of the handle and the back taper together. The handle at the end sticks out at a 40 degree angle. The tip of the handle is much thinner and decoratively looped around for the purpose of hanging.

One large, red painted wooden funnel. Large opening has an outer band of metal .500" wide attached to the body with 6 small nails (a seventh hole is missing its nail). Initials "EJS" carved on outer edge 1.250" from metal-bound edge.

Fox and geese game. Shaped top with round handle, curved bottom and 33 pierced holes.

Swing-leg game table. Reeded legs and single block front and 1/2 block sides. Front corners are extended and round, forming tops for the legs. Front skirt veneered in mahogany with a double band of white wood. This table has a history of ownership in the Hudson River Valley.

Glass Geissler Tube. Main body of the tube is a spiral shape, above the spiral is a yellow cross-like shape with a clear glass bulb with red pointed tip. The bottom of the spiral leads downwards into two connected glass bulbs. The tube is standing on a circular turned wooden tiered base.

Thought to be a glue pot made of copper. It is finely made with a brass collar, handles and handle brackets. It is slightly unusual in that the inside of the large pot is tinned which is often found in cookware as the copper can react to acidic foods like tomatoes. However both the inside and outside of the smaller pot/insert is not tinned. Most glue pots are made of cast iron but there are examples of copper glue pots in 19th century coppersmithing books.
