Come explore all that the 19th-century Historic Village has to offer, and on what is sure to be a quiet day. Please note, we will still be open to the public, but will have programming specific to homeschool families.

Add a workshop on to your Homeschool Day experience! You must reserve or purchase a September Homeschool Day ticket in conjunction with all Homeschool Workshop tickets.

History Stinks! | $5 per person | 1 – 1:30 p.m.
Learn about many smelly aspects of 19th-century life and make a lavender sachet to take home. This workshop is open to all ages – any parent that chooses to stay with their child must also purchase a workshop ticket.

Hearth-Cooking Workshop: Ginger Nuts | $15 per person | 1 – 2 p.m.
Experience cooking at a historic hearth and take home the sweet treat you helped make. This workshop is for homeschool students age 7 – 17; parents will drop their child off at the workshop site and return to pick them up at workshop end.

Woodcarving Workshop | $15 per person | 3 – 4 p.m.
Become an apprentice to historic interpreter Benjamin Gray and whittle your own wooden spoon to take home. This workshop is for homeschool students age 12 – 17; parents will drop their child off at the workshop site and pick them up at workshop end.

19th Century Games | $5 | 3:30 – 4 p.m.
Explore what children played with in the past. Try whimmy diddles, pommawongs, graces, and more! This workshop is open to all ages; parents who choose to stay with their child must also purchase a workshop ticket.
