Home for the Holidays

December 2026 (2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 17 & 18)

Grades 2 - 12

On this guided tour through the wintery Historic Village, students are encouraged to make connections with 19th century traditions to their own winter experiences. The tour creatively delivers a host of curriculum topics in a unique and memorable way.

This guided tour includes seven interactive stations

Each station takes place in a historic building bedecked in holiday decorations. Stations include indigenous storytelling, African drum music, games, 19th century holiday baking, an interactive rendition of A Visit From Saint Nicholas, by Clement Clarke Moore, and more!

Honor winter and celebrate with local community partners

Enjoy Indigenous storytelling focused on wintertime celebrations and fun with storytellers like Perry Ground and Allie Hargrave.

Experience joy while using drums, song, and dance to understand how people celebrate and gather all around the world, with WOMBA Africa!
